Fix "fatal: not a git repository"
If you see fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git, move to your existing project folder and check the repository with git status.

If you see error: src refspec main does not match any, check the local branch name and whether any commits exist. If main shows No commits yet, create the first commit from a reviewed file, then push.

The error "fatal: The current branch main has no upstream branch." means main has no default push destination configured. Check the remote URL and branch, then push and set the tracking relationship together.
